GIANFRANCO BARUCHELLO
Commissariat : Nicolas Bourriaud
Exposition du 10 mars au 27 mai 2018
Opening Friday March 9 at 6 pm
Activist, poet, film-maker, painter, artist-farmer, definitively unclassifiable, Gianfranco Baruchello, born in 1924, was close to Marcel Duchamp, Gilles Deleuze and Jean-François Lyotard. Certainly too much ahead of his time and stayed underrated, this ninety-four-year-old artist, appears to carry to the XXIth century a soft and long-lasting energy, an energy focused on the tiny and the detail, which irrigates its works fragmenting and dilating the world. Full of utopia and life, today its art offers a transition between the modernity and the contemporary world.
Curator : Nicolas Bourriaud
